Beautifully done and gives information I'm always looking for

I've been embroidering since HS when doing the entire back of a denim work shirt was in fashion. That said, I have not worked at the level of Melissa Galbraith and that is something to aspire to. I love having her book as a reference and the inspiring color project photos along with details on the stitches is perfect. I have kept only a couple embroidery books over the years. Most don't focus on the stitches well, this book does and I'm thrilled to have it on my bookshelf.

  • Pressed Pennies: New Stick and Stitch Patterns⁠ As I’ve been traveling more and more for trade shows and to teach workshops, I’ve been getting to see more of the country. Often times on trips, I try to bring back a souvenir to remember the adventure. It doesn’t always happen, but I have a sand dollar from Pacific Beach, an alligator keychain from New Orleans, and more on the curio shelves in our guest bathroom. ⁠ ⁠ Growing up, the souvenir to get was pressed pennies. I remember my younger sister having a special book for all her pennies and always scouting out the pressed penny machine as soon as we stopped at a landmark or tourist destination.
